Jenny's Book Bag

I stopped on page 108. This book breaks basic writing principles that I can't ignore. One, write about characters that readers will care about. Two, keep the story moving forward so that the reader will want to know what happens next. He fails at both of these basic rules, but somehow he still managed to get 4 stars out of 300,000+ readers. I enjoyed The Graveyard Book and was looking forward to reading another book of his. After attempting this book, I'm beginning to think that he's just another bestselling author who has enough blind followers to support his mediocre writing. Hmmm...maybe I need to read a third book to know for sure.
